Vishwak Sen’s CULT Is Finally Wrapped. The Makers Say One Set Took 40–50 Days.

Vishwak Sen has finished shooting the movie in which he is both the face in front of the knife and the person calling cut. The team behind CULT announced Saturday that filming is complete, keeping its October 30 worldwide theatrical date intact.

The most eye-catching production number comes from the makers themselves: they say crucial material was filmed on a large Ramoji Film City set over roughly 40–50 days, with hundreds of models involved. That is promotional-team reporting rather than an independently audited production figure, but it makes the intended scale clear — this is not being sold as a tiny contained horror movie.

Vishwak wrote the story and screenplay and directs himself in the lead. Sandeep Kakarala produces under Tarak Cinemas, Ravi Basrur is scoring the film, Tharun Bhascker wrote the dialogues, Aravind Viswanathan handles cinematography, and the official teaser credits Gayatri Bharadwaj, Tarak Ponnappa, Murali Sharma and Srikanth Iyengar among the ensemble.

The campaign has repeatedly billed CULT as India’s first slasher or first “global” slasher. Chitram is keeping that language attributed to the makers rather than pretending Indian genre history has been conclusively settled. Saturday’s verifiable update is simpler: the shoot is over, the October 30 date remains, and post-production now has to deliver the scale the campaign keeps promising.
